PROTOGONOS est un groupe de Metalcore formé à Reims en 2016 et composé de Ben (guitare lead), Jeremy (batterie), Aurel (Guitare), Nico (Chant) et Thomas (Basse). Energique, puissant, et progressif, le son du groupe puise son inspiration dans la matière primordiale de la scène Metalcore et Hardcore, tout en marquant son empreinte par un répertoire d’une grande richesse mélodique dans lequel s’alternent voix brutales et claires.

Lancé sur la scène par son premier EP « Ex Nihilo », sorti le 31 Décembre 2017, PROTOGONOS n’a cessé de construire son avenir à mesure qu’il se produisait en live. Cherchant à affiner son style avec de nouvelles compositions et aboutissant à l’enregistrement de son premier album, « From Chaos to Ashes » qui paraitra en Janvier 2020.

Si la situation sanitaire de cette année n’aura pas permis d’en assurer la promotion, le groupe ne s’est pour autant pas démobilisé, s’orientant très tôt vers ce que serait 2021 : L’année d’une transformation vers un PROTOGONOS 2.0 plus engagé et plus mature. Un nouveau contenu, sous forme de Singles, et " Embrace your Truth" sort en vidéo le 1er Février 2021, rapidement suivi par "Watch them burn" en Avril et enfin “Overdrained” en Octobre, annonciateurs d’un nouvel album « SILENT OPPRESSOR » qui sortira en Septembre 2022.

Energetic, powerful, and progressive, the group's sound draws its inspiration from the primordial material of the Metalcore and Hardcore scene, while leaving its mark with a repertoire of great melodic richness in which brutal and clear voices alternate.

Launched on the scene by its first EP "Ex Nihilo", released on December 31, 2017, PROTOGONOS has continued to build its future as it performed live as part of its promotion. Seeking to refine his style with new compositions and resulting in the recording of his first album, "From Chaos to Ashes" which will be released in January 2020.

If the health situation of this year will not have made it possible to promote it , the group did not demobilize, however, moving very early on towards what 2021 would be: The year of transformation towards a more committed and mature PROTOGONOS 2.0. New content in the form of a Single and "Embrace your Truth" is released on video on February 1, 2021, quickly followed by "Watch them burn" in April and finally "Overdrained" in October, heralding a new album "SILENT OPPRESSOR" which will will be released in September 2022.
